The live feed requires an active internet connection at all times. If the page loses its connection to the real-time service, the status indicator in the top-right corner switches from a pulsing green Live badge to a red Disconnected badge. Reconnect your network and the page will resume streaming automatically. While disconnected, the queue may not reflect the latest counter activity.
Connection status indicator
A small badge in the page header tells you whether the real-time link is active:Live (green)
The page is connected and receiving instant updates from all checkout stations. No action required.
Disconnected (red)
The real-time link is down. Use the Refresh button (circular arrows icon) to force a manual data reload while you restore the connection.
Active counter pickups
The top section of the page shows the Active Counter Pickups grid — one card per customer currently standing at the counter. Each card displays:- Customer name — pulled from their account the moment they are loaded by the cashier.
- Station — the checkout terminal the customer is assigned to (for example,
checkout 1,checkout 2). - Arrival time — shown as a relative time such as “3m ago.”
- Packages in the cart — each package shows its local tracking number, the name on the package, and its warehouse bin location.
Marking a session as picked
Once you have physically pulled all packages from the shelf and handed them to the customer, click the Mark as Picked button at the bottom of the customer’s card. This:- Removes the card from the active queue immediately.
- Syncs the pick confirmation to the server.
- Triggers a refresh of the Released Packages table below.
Toast notifications for new arrivals
Every time a new customer is loaded onto any station, a dark toast notification slides up from the bottom-right corner of the screen. The notification shows the customer’s name and the station they are at. An audio chime also plays to alert backroom staff who may not be watching the screen. Toasts dismiss themselves after six seconds, or you can close one early by clicking the × button.Released packages feed
Below the active queue, the Released Packages table records every package that has been handed over and confirmed during the selected day.Filtering by date
Use the Filter Date picker in the section header to view releases from any past date. Changing the date triggers a fresh data pull from the server automatically.Using the backroom during peak hours
1
Open the Backroom page before doors open
Navigate to Backroom Fulfillment from the sidebar and confirm the Live badge is green. If it shows red, refresh the page or check the network before customers arrive.
2
Watch for new customer cards
When a cashier loads a customer, a new card appears in the queue and a toast notification chimes. Move to the shelves and begin pulling the packages listed in the card while the customer is still at the counter.
3
Verify packages against the card
Each package row in the card shows the local tracking number and the bin location. Cross-check these against the physical labels before handing anything over.
4
Mark the session as picked
After handing all packages to the customer, click Mark as Picked on their card. The card clears, and the packages move to the Released Packages table below.
5
Use the date filter at end of day
At close of business, set the date filter to today and review the Released Packages table as your handover log. This record includes signatures and precise release times.
