The Point of Sale (POS) screen is your primary tool for face-to-face transactions. From here you can find a customer, see all of their outstanding invoices and paid invoices, collect payment using any accepted method, and immediately release their packages — without leaving the screen. Every action is tied to a customer session, so you always know exactly who you’re serving and what they owe.

Opening the POS

Navigate to Point of Sale in the sidebar. The screen opens in a blank “Ready for Transaction” state until you load a customer. No data is displayed until you search for someone — this keeps the workspace clean between sessions.

Finding a Customer

1

Open the customer search

Click Find Customer in the top-right corner of the page. A search modal slides open and the cursor jumps to the search field automatically.
2

Type the customer's name, email, or account number

Enter at least two characters. Results appear as you type. Use the ↑ / ↓ arrow keys to move through the list, then press Enter to select — or simply click the name.
3

Confirm the customer is loaded

The modal closes and the customer’s stats panel, unpaid invoices, and paid invoices all appear. The button label changes to Switch Customer for the rest of the session.
You can also open the POS pre-loaded with a specific customer by clicking Pay Now from their invoice detail page. The POS screen will load with that customer already selected.

Reading the Customer Stats Panel

Once a customer is loaded, four stat cards appear at the top of the workspace:

Customer Profile

Shows the customer’s full name and their account code. Click the name to open their full customer profile in a new tab.

Amount Due

The total outstanding balance across all unpaid invoices. Displayed in red. Also shows the count of unpaid invoices.

Ready to Release

The number of invoices that have already been paid and whose packages are ready for pickup right now.

Wallet Funds

The customer’s current wallet (account credit) balance. This amount can be applied toward payment during checkout.

Selecting Invoices to Process

The main panel is split into two sections:
  • Payment Required — invoices with an outstanding balance, shown with a red “Unpaid” badge.
  • Ready for Release (Paid) — invoices that are fully paid and whose packages are waiting to be handed over.
Click any invoice row to select it for this session. A selected invoice is highlighted with a checkbox. Click it again to deselect. To see which packages are attached to an invoice, click View Packages inside the row. Each package shows its tracking number, weight, description, and current status. The Transaction Summary panel on the right updates in real time as you select invoices:

Processing a Payment

1

Select invoices and review the Total Due

Tick one or more invoices from the list. Confirm the Total Due shown in the Transaction Summary panel on the right.
2

Click Proceed to Payment

The payment modal opens. It shows a live Balance Remaining counter that counts down to $0.00 as you add payment entries. If all selected invoices are already paid, the button reads Confirm Release instead — skip to Step 5.
3

Add one or more payment methods

Click the payment method button that matches what the customer is tendering. Each click adds a line to the Tendered Items list on the right side of the modal.
Click Cash. A line is added with the full remaining balance pre-filled. Adjust the amount if the customer is paying part in cash. If the customer tenders more than the balance, the Change Due counter appears in blue — hand back that amount.
4

Confirm the balance is fully covered

The status box reads Fully Covered (green) when the total tendered equals the amount due. The Complete Transaction button activates. If there is change, decide whether to return it as cash or credit it to the customer’s wallet by checking the Add change to customer wallet? checkbox. When that option is ticked, a secondary Customer Confirmed checkbox appears — tick it after confirming the choice with the customer before proceeding.
5

Collect customer signature (optional)

Click Request Signature to push a signature prompt to the customer-facing display screen. The button changes to a waiting state while the system listens for the customer’s input. Once signed, a thumbnail preview appears. If no display screen is available, click Skip.
6

Choose whether to release packages now

The Release packages to customer now? checkbox is ticked by default. Uncheck it if the customer is paying today but will collect their packages at a later date.
7

Click Complete Transaction

The payment is processed. A success screen displays the receipt ID, amount applied, amount tendered, and any change given. Click Print Receipt to open the thermal receipt in a new tab, which will print automatically.
8

Start the next customer

Click Next Customer to clear the session and reopen the search modal, ready for the next transaction.
When a customer pays with their wallet balance, the system will never apply more credit than is available — the wallet line auto-adjusts. This means you can click Wallet first and then add a second method (such as cash) for any remaining amount, and the wallet entry will automatically reduce to avoid over-payment.

Clearing a Session

Clicking Clear Session removes the current customer and empties the entire cart. Any payment entries you have already added in the payment modal are discarded. This action cannot be undone. Only clear the session if you need to cancel the transaction entirely or serve a different customer mid-way.
To clear the session, click the red Clear Session button in the top-right corner. A confirmation dialog will ask you to confirm before anything is removed. Click Keep Editing to go back, or Yes, Clear It to proceed.

Receipt Reference

After every successful transaction the system issues a Receipt ID. This ID links to a printable thermal receipt that shows:
  • Company name and address
  • Date, time, and cashier name
  • Invoice numbers and package descriptions
  • Payment method(s) and amounts tendered
  • Change given
  • A QR code encoding the receipt ID for future lookup
