Available roles
Edit a staff member’s role or branch
Click the staff member’s name in the table, or hover over their row and click the pencil icon. The edit dialog opens pre-filled with their current details. Update the Role or Branch Assignment fields as needed and click Save User.Deactivate or reactivate a staff account
You can deactivate a staff account in two ways:- Using the status toggle in the table — Click the toggle switch in the Status column directly in the staff list. The change takes effect instantly with no confirmation dialog.
- Using the edit dialog — Open the staff member’s edit dialog, untick Account is Active, and click Save User.
Manage permission overrides
Every staff member inherits a set of permissions from their role. You can override individual permissions for a specific user — granting access beyond their role, or revoking access that their role normally provides — without changing the role itself.1
Open the user's edit dialog
Click the staff member’s name or the pencil icon in the table. For an existing user, the User Permissions panel loads automatically on the right.
2
Find the permission to override
Use the Search permissions field to filter by permission key or description. Each row in the permissions table shows:
- Permission — The permission key and its description.
- Role Access — Whether the user’s role already grants this permission (Granted by Role or Not in Role).
- Override — A dropdown to control this user’s individual access.
3
Set the override state
For each permission you want to adjust, select one of the three override options:
4
Save the permissions
Click Save Permissions in the User Permissions panel header. A confirmation confirms the changes were saved.
Permission overrides are separate from the main user record. You can save the user’s profile details and permission overrides independently — use the Save User button for profile changes and the Save Permissions button for permission changes.
Assign branch-specific access
A staff member’s Branch Assignment controls which branch’s data and operations they can see and interact with. Branch-assigned users only see packages, customers, and reports for their assigned branch. Users set to Global / No Branch can access data across all branches. To reassign a staff member to a different branch, open their edit dialog, change the Branch Assignment dropdown, and click Save User. For role-level permission configuration — such as controlling which permissions are available to all Cashiers or all Managers — see User Roles. User Management handles individual account overrides; role definitions control system-wide access rules.
